is a short story about Bri, a gifted sheep, (in love with Yew, Barbara and fascinated by her baahing conversation) who may have been genetically altered from being born a pig to sheep genius by an eccentric scientist, Eldergore, provoked into creating a potion that causes a weird, sometimes successful transformation in pigs. Bri spies for his rescuer and best mate Mick to prevent Pete the Pig Man and his brother, Eldergore the mad scientist from nicking Mick’s sheep for their devious purpose and stop them undercutting Mick in business when it suits them. Also starring, Unanimous Squeak an unplanned mouse victim of the brothers and Mr Sussed of the investigatory consortium. Much ridiculousness and adventure ensue.
a fast-paced piece about a pizza parlour where customers can order pizzas of one-half cheese and one-half tuna. It's run by chef, Maxim Cat, and Minim Mouse. Minim and other mice and rat locals notice and complain when Maxim is found to be skimping on the cheese side of the pizzas. Why? The story reveals all. It's a piece of poetic prose.
narrated by Socrates the Turtle - Landlord of the Crosskeys Inn - a tale about his ancestors…Loosely Greek-based story about an under-sea version with other recognizably named fishy characters: Queen Aphrodite and their daughter, Helen of Troy Under the Sea, with Hermes, the Town Crier (Prince Paris of Sparta and Icarus amongst others feature). Aphrodite and Hermes set off on an undersea adventure to find Ares who can, explosively help them in preventing the unwanted wedding of Helen to clownish Icarus, cooked up by King Hephaistos, Aphrodite’s husband and Helen’s dad. Medusa features as Ares’ slave.
Pretty Stupid Stories - exactly that. Tales short and slightly long about bizarre characters and occurrences. Poetry and prose, eg. The Sqwarkin’ Alba Bird, Psst! My House is a Zoo and Tom’s Jelly etc.
written by Jeremy White in 1996 and now in production for a mini-series, Don't Forget Your ToolBox is a metaphorical and inspirational book that uses the concept of a toolbox filled with various tools as analogies for life skills or solutions to common life challenges.
Each tool, i.e. a Bell Jar represents the place to escape to when the need for peace, quiet, and solitude becomes apparent. Each tool symbolises a specific approach or method to deal with particular situations in life.
With over 20 tools described in an engaging and motivational manner, this book offers insightful and practical guidance for navigating life's complexities. It's also interesting to note that it's part of a six-part series, providing a comprehensive exploration of personal development and problem-solving strategies for all ages.
